A picnic in the country

Pour les deux élèves absents aujourd'hui; voici le texte sur lequel nous avons travaillé.

It's a sunny spring day and the friends from the drama club are having a picnic in the country, near a little river. ian and james didn't come because there was a chess competition in Fulham.

The spot is very pretty. There are lots of flowers and butterflies but there is an airport nearby and planes fly over the trees all the time.

Aliette is sleeping under a tree near the picnic basket and Sophie is reading a comic.I can't see Ben. Oh yes, there he is, standing under  another tree, watching a black bird singing just above him. Rob is listening to music with his feet in the water. Mark is sitting next to Rob. He is eating an enormous French sandwich and having a drink of orange juice. On the grass near them, there are two apples, some tomatoes, a piece of cheese and a beautiful bunch of flowers.
